An SR-22 isn’t a type of insurance. Rather, it’s a certificate that you file with the state of California to demonstrate that you meet the minimum auto insurance coverage. This is sometimes also known as a “certificate of financial responsibility” or “SR-22 bond.”
This form is typically ordered by the state via the Department of Motor Vehicles or by a court of law. There are numerous reasons you might be required to file an SR-22:
Have you been required to file an SR-22 form? If you already have auto insurance through The Insurance Place, we can add this document to your current policy and file it for you with the state of California.
If you need an SR-22 but don’t yet have auto insurance, we’re happy to help you with that as well. We have a wide range of auto insurance products available for our San Diego clients, and we can make sure you meet the coverage required by your SR-22 and protect your vehicle too.
